Project Architect

Fort Worth, TX | Onsite Daily | $90,000 - $130,000 Base Salary

An established architecture and design firm with a growing presence in Fort Worth specializing in retail, supply chain, industrial, and commercial facility projects nationwide. The organization is recognized for delivering creative, innovative, and cost-effective solutions while maintaining aggressive schedules and budget expectations for a diverse client portfolio.

Position Overview

Seeking a licensed Project Architect to support the design, documentation, and execution of industrial, warehouse, distribution, retail, and commercial building projects. This individual will serve as a technical resource throughout the project lifecycle, partnering closely with senior architects, consultants, contractors, and clients to develop construction documents, coordinate multidisciplinary systems, and ensure projects remain compliant with applicable codes and jurisdictional requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop architectural drawings, BIM models, construction documents, specifications, and technical details for industrial, warehouse, distribution, retail, and commercial projects.
  • Research, interpret, and implement zoning ordinances, site planning requirements, building codes, and permitting regulations to ensure project compliance.
  • Coordinate architectural designs and BIM models with structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Integrate tenant improvement documentation with core and shell building packages.
  • Participate in technical discussions with contractors, consultants, clients, and internal project teams regarding design intent, constructability, and project execution.
  • Prepare and submit permit packages, respond to jurisdictional review comments, and support construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, and field observations.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and production progress while communicating milestones and expectations to senior leadership.
  • Travel periodically to project sites to perform construction observations and verify compliance with contract documents.

  • Experience preparing permit documents and coordinating with jurisdictional authorities
Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $90,000 - $130,000.
