A leading architecture firm is seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead the design, documentation, consultant coordination, and construction administration of large-scale K–12 or healthcare projects. This role will manage multiple projects simultaneously, oversee construction documents and specifications, lead client and project team meetings, mentor junior staff, and ensure every deliverable meets the firm's standards for accuracy, coordination, and design integrity.

The ideal candidate is a technically strong, highly organized architect who communicates clearly, delegates effectively, and takes full ownership of project quality, team performance, and deadlines.

Salary Range: $100,000–$115,000 DOE, plus an annual performance-based bonus

Fort Worth Project Architect Responsibilities:

• Manage the design and production process from early design through construction
• Coordinate the implementation of design intent into construction documents, specifications, and the completed project
• Oversee project documentation to ensure timely, accurate, coordinated, and profitable completion
• Produce construction documents that are correct, concise, coordinated, complete, and carefully crafted
• Lead multiple projects simultaneously, including large-scale K–12 or healthcare projects of approximately 100,000 square feet or more
• Work with Project Directors to develop production schedules, communicate expectations to internal teams and consultants, and monitor progress against deadlines
• Provide technical and production support during programming, schematic design, and design development
• Research applicable building codes, incorporate requirements into the design, and document compliance thoroughly
• Resolve complex design and technical issues using established standards and architectural best practices
• Determine the appropriate construction materials and methods for each project
• Coordinate submissions to Authorities Having Jurisdiction and obtain required approvals
• Conduct quality control reviews before documents are issued, including verifying conformance with client technical standards
• Write, coordinate, and review project specifications with the specifications team
• Manage day-to-day coordination with consultants and integrate all disciplines into the project
• Lead project meetings addressing design, technical, scheduling, and coordination matters
• Delegate assignments, provide clear direction, and monitor the quality and feasibility of work produced by the project team
• Maintain project budgets and support delivery within established financial requirements
• Lead client meetings and communicate project updates, issues, and recommendations
• Attend jobsite meetings as required to remain informed of construction progress
• Review submittals to confirm alignment with the approved design intent
• Support the construction administration team by responding to RFIs, ASIs, PRs, and other project needs
• Prepare documentation for design changes arising during construction
• Report team performance, staffing needs, project concerns, and resource requirements to the Architecture Director
• Recommend staff assignments for specific projects and project roles
• Provide feedback on employee performance to support consistent coaching and professional development
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, resources, and quality assurance practices
• Mentor junior architects, emerging professionals, and other members of the project team
• Support the development of future Project Architects through structured mentoring
• Remain receptive to feedback and actively pursue continued professional development

Fort Worth Project Architect Requirements:

• 10 or more years of professional architectural experience
• Professional bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from a NAAB-accredited university
• Active architectural registration in the United States;
  Texas registration is not required at the time of hire
