Job Summary
The PRN Electrophysiology Cardiologist provides intermittent, high-quality specialty care for patients with cardiac rhythm disorders. This role includes evaluating and managing complex arrhythmias, performing electrophysiology studies and catheter-based ablation procedures, and implanting and managing cardiac rhythm devices as needed. The PRN electrophysiologist collaborates with cardiology and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care while supporting variable coverage needs.
Board certification/eligibility in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and an active medical license are required.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias and conduction disorders
- Perform electrophysiology studies and catheter-based ablation procedures
- Implant, program, and manage cardiac rhythm devices (pacemakers, ICDs, CRT)
- Interpret ECGs, ambulatory monitors, and intracardiac recordings
- Collaborate with cardiology, nursing, and procedural teams to ensure high-quality patient care
- Document clinical findings, procedures, and treatment plans in the medical record
- Provide PRN coverage in accordance with departmental and hospital policies

Education and Experience
Education:
- Current Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine.
- Fellowship training within Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
- Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Texas
- Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease
- Board Eligible/Board Certification in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
