Job Summary
The Addiction Specialist Physician will provide direct clinical care at the Tarrant County Jail to individuals with substance use disorders, primarily opioid use disorder, as part of a comprehensive jail‑based Medication‑Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. This role is critical in supporting recovery, reducing recidivism, and improving health outcomes for justice‑involved individuals.

- Current Medical Doctor (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine.
- Successfully completed an accredited residency program.
- Board eligible in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry.
- Board Certification in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision‑making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to patient safety, efficiency, and equitable healthcare delivery.
- Proficiency in the use of electronic health records (EHR).
