Department SummaryThe Department of Family and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine is a multifaceted, interdisciplinary team of dedicated healthcare providers and researchers who are committed to providing excellence in clinical care, primary care education, and research. Through innovative curricular designs, early clinical experiences, and mentorship, the Department is focused on producing highly competent, caring, and compassionate Family Medicine/OMM physicians, helping reduce the shortage of primary care physicians in our Texas communities.
Position OverviewThe Department of Family and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor to join our team.
Minimum Qualifications- MD/DO Degree required

- Knowledge and experience in using various teaching methods to create an effective learning environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple responsibilities, including teaching, research, and clinical duties.
- Board Certified/Eligible in ONMM
- Resident supervision within our ACGME approved Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (ONMM) Program.
- Advising and mentoring residents and medical students.
- Encouraged participation in research and academic scholarship with protected academic time.
- Providing ambulatory patient care.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Lifting and Moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
