Department Summary

The Department of Clinical Education within the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine coordinates all clinical education experiences for osteopathic medicine students. This includes assigned clerkships in various specialties (family medicine, internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, OB/GYN, emergency medicine, psychiatry, etc.) during the clinical years of the DO program.

Position Overview

The Department of Clinical Education within the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine coordinates all clinical education experiences for osteopathic medicine students. The department at UNT Health is seeking to hire an Academic Program Specialist to support the Osteopathic Clinical Education team. The team member will perform specified administrative coordination and provide specialized program support to the Osteopathic Clinical Education Department ensuring that the day-to-day administrative functions are performed.

This position is critical to the overall success in the program. Serves as point of contact to hospital/clinic partners, students, prospective students, and faculty on matters related to course management, enrollment, program requirements, policies and procedures, and other administrative matters.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Three to five years of experience working in an administrative capacity within higher education and/or in a healthcare setting utilizing high functioning/problem-solving skills.

  • Proactive and consistent communications with students and hospitals for the rotations.
  • Preparing and maintaining online curriculum platform.
