You will facilitate focused, high-impact workshops instead of traditional hour-long lessons. Your role involves diagnosing learner needs, creating original evidence-based instruction without reliance on published materials, and contributing to the development of adaptive tools that extend your expertise to hundreds of students. What You Will Be Doing
  • Facilitating adaptive reading workshops focused on building core skills in phonics, fluency, and comprehension
  • Creating personalized, engaging sessions that resonate with students and foster a lasting passion for reading
  • Reviewing student performance data to refine instructional methods and generate actionable insights
  • Partnering with the technology team to assess and improve AI-powered literacy tools

  • Following pre-packaged curricula or published instructional sequences

Key Responsibilities

Cultivate a genuine love of reading in young learners

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Master's degree or advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2 years delivering small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
  • Demonstrated ability to assess reading levels, group students effectively, and design differentiated instruction independent of pre-written curricula
  • Experience with AI/adaptive learning platforms and the ability to respond to student behaviors within those systems
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Availability to work on-site at one of the following campuses:
    Palo Alto, CA;
    San Francisco, CA;
    Santa Monica, CA;
    Chicago, IL;
    New York City, NY;
    Chantilly (Washington), VA

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
