This position will work with students who may have moderate to severe delays. Help the special education teacher provide physical and instructional support for students with disabilities in a special education setting. Assist in implementing classroom programs, including self‑help, behavior management, and instruction programs. Work under general supervision of the principal and immediate direction of a certified teacher.
Qualifications- Education/Certification: Associate’s degree or at least 48 hours of college coursework completed (an unofficial college transcript will be required prior to hiring)
- Ability to work with children with disabilities
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of general office equipment
- Some experience working with children
Starting Salary Range: $22,440 - $32,269
Work Calendar: 187 Days
