Head Volleyball Coach​/Teacher

Teaching Assignment will be either a Social Studies Teacher or SPED Teacher.

Provide students and student-athletes with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

Responsible for all aspects of thevolleyball program, including developing training and game plans, managing assistant coaches, and ensuring student athletes are eligible and adhere to school and UIL rules. Key duties include coordinating practices and games, teaching skills and strategy, promoting sportsmanship, and maintaining communication with students, parents, and the school administration. The coach must also manage the budget and care for the equipment and facilities.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned

• Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to conduct instruction, attend meetings and professional development in a virtual environment

At least one-year student teaching or approved internship

$63,810 (2025/2026 Compensation Plan)

Salary determination will be based on verified relevant work experience.

Salary will be adjusted to the start date.

Total stipend determination will be based on the calculation of each individual coaching assignment (as outlined in the district-approved compensation plan)
