* Maintain an active agenda for research, scholarship, or creative activity appropriate to the applicant’s academic discipline.
* Make original contributions to the advancement of knowledge/creative expression in the applicant’s discipline through scholarly publication, presentation, or exhibition.
* Demonstrate potential for external funding and/or grant participation, national impact, or professional recognition.
* Plan, prepare, and teach doctoral-level courses in the Ed.D. program, with a focus on PK12 and/or higher education leadership.
* Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and design assessments such as exams, quizzes, papers, etc.
* Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and evaluate student learning outcomes to inform teaching practices and curriculum improvements, while working in partnership with program faculty on student advising and orientation.
* Serve as a chair and member on doctoral dissertation committees, providing high-quality mentorship to doctoral students.
* Engage students in active learning, foster critical thinking skills, and provide opportunities for discussion, collaboration, and hands-on learning.
* Provide academic support and guidance to students through office hours, feedback on assignments, and mentoring.
* Adhere to university policies, academic integrity standards, and accreditation requirements related to teaching responsibilities.
* Incorporate innovative teaching methods, technologies, and pedagogical approaches to enhance student learning and engagement, while developing, implementing, and reviewing effective teaching processes with appropriate methodologies, technology, and tools.
* Engage in ongoing professional development activities to stay current in the field, improve teaching skills, and explore new instructional strategies.
* Collaborate with colleagues, departmental faculty, and university staff to coordinate course offerings, share resources, contribute to program and curriculum development and improvement, and support program planning, accreditation, and assessment activities.
* Participate in institutional service roles including but not limited to, college committees, club sponsorship, advisory committees, student/faculty recruitment, and mentoring of new and part-time faculty.
* Earned doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership, Higher Education, or a closely related field from an accredited university.
* Evidence of effective teaching experience, preferably with doctoral students.
* Evidence of an active research agenda with potential for or history of peer-reviewed publications and/or grant awards.
* Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills in English.
* Demonstrated experience teaching online or hybrid courses in higher education.
* Demonstrated experience as a dissertation chair and committee member.
* Expertise in PK-12 or higher education leadership, with prior administrative or leadership experience in K-12 or higher education settings.
* Proven success in mentoring and advising of graduate students.
* Demonstrated experience securing grant funding.
