Compensation package for Certified teachers starting at $62,000*
Compensation package for Non-certified teachers starting at $54,000*
* The starting compensation package shown includes a $5,000 Certified Math Teacher hiring incentive
Provide students with appropriate intervention learning activities and experiences in the subject area of math to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
QualificationsEducation/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate for teaching Math, 4-8 preferred. Demonstrated competency in the area of Math.
Knowledge of Math. Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and intervention. Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
ExperienceMinimal 3-5 years teaching experience preferred.
Major Responsibilities and Duties Instructional Strategies18. Any, and all, other duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirect the work of assigned instructional aide(s).
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental FactorsTools/Equipment Used: Personal computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment; [P.E. teachers: automated external defibrillator (AED)]
Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Frequent walking Lifting:
Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may lift and move textbooks and classroom equipment
Environment: Work inside, may work outside; regular exposure to noise
Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours.
