Department SummaryThe mission of the Division of Student Affairs is to create solutions for a healthier community by fostering student success. There are multiple functional units within Student Affairs, including the Center for Student Life, the Career Readiness Center, the Center for Academic Performance, the Office of Care and Civility, Testing and Evaluation Services, International Services, the Office of Disability Access, and the Student Assistance Resource Center.
Position OverviewThis position is part of the Division of Student Affairs at the University of North Texas Health
Science Center (UNT Health) and the Office of Disability Access (ODA). This position supports UNT Health students and academic departments with a wide variety of student assessment (examination/testing) activities for students registered with the ODA and receiving disability-related accommodations. This position fosters student success by ensuring that student knowledge is effectively measured, approved accommodations are provided, and academic curricular goals are achieved.
High School diploma and one (1) year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Experience using software and technical resources, particularly in an online environment (i.e., Microsoft Suite).

- The desired applicant will place a high priority on customer service.
- Experience in support roles, interacting with clients from multiple levels of an organization, and experience in an academic support environment are preferable.
- Experience in proctoring examinations is a plus.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and proven written communication skills.
- Support the setup and administration of paper or computer-based examinations and other student assessments.
- Admit students into a secure testing environment.
- Ensure only appropriate items are permitted in the exam room.
- Ensure students comply with all secure testing protocols.
- Provide instruction to examinees as needed.
- Assist with the distribution and collection of exam materials.
- Perform other student testing duties as assigned.
- Monitor student examinations or assessments.
- Observe students during examinations and document/report inappropriate behavior.
- Resolve technical issues that may arise on student laptops during exams.
- Assist students during a secure exam to ensure they have an appropriate testing environment.
- Facilitate a secure, fair. and an appropriate testing environment for students.
- Resolve exam environment distractions promptly.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting or standing.
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.
