Position:Upper Elementary Teacher
Grade Levels:4th - 6th Grade
School Type:AMS Accredited Montessori School

We seek a dedicated generalist educator who will collaborate with our team to offer a classical approach to Montessori education.

• AMS Elementary (6-12 or 9-12) Montessori credential
• Bachelor's degree
• Strong understanding of child development principles for ages 9-12

• Create and maintain an authentic Montessori learning environment that fosters independence, curiosity, and social/academic excellence
• Prepare and present engaging lessons that inspire wonder, learning, and understanding
• Guide students through individual and collaborative projects

• Support each child's academic, social, and emotional growth through careful observation and individualized instruction
• Foster grace and courtesy in daily interactions and encourage student leadership
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and development

• Partner closely with families through regular communication, conferences, and collaborative goal setting
• Work effectively as part of a teaching team and contribute to school-wide initiatives
• Participate in professional development opportunities and AMS continuing education requirements
• Support school events
• Maintain organized, beautiful classroom spaces that reflect Montessori principles
