Application Process:

- Submit Verifiable Student Achievement Data Once a completed application is received and vetted for minimum requirements, a data request sheet will be emailed to interested candidates requesting measurable evidence demonstrating a track record of accelerating student achievement.

Deliver rigorous, standards-based instruction to promote intellectual, social, and physical growth for all students, ensuring individual access to accelerated learning and preparation for global competitiveness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Instructional Excellence
- Teach district curriculum using well-designed, standards-aligned lesson plans.
- Employ rigorous instructional strategies and project-based learning to foster collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and styles.
- Utilize a variety of instructional media and techniques appropriate to student capabilities.
- Assess student mastery using multiple tools: formative assessments, performance tasks, standardized tests, and observations.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, grades, and assessment data.
- Monitor and proctor standardized tests; manage test materials and data securely.
- Establish and maintain effective classroom management and discipline strategies.
- Monitor student behavior in classrooms, hallways, and assigned duty stations.
- Create a learning environment that is safe, inclusive, and conducive to academic success.
- Initiate and maintain open communication with parents and families regarding academic and behavioral progress.
- Participate in school events, open houses, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Interpret and promote the school's educational programs to the community.
- Collaborate with peers, serve on committees, and contribute to curriculum development.
- Attend district and campus professional development activities.
- Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and demonstrate high standards of conduct and work ethic.
- Supervise and evaluate aides, volunteers, and student teachers as applicable.
- Refer students for evaluation by district specialists when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including supplemental assignments under special revenue or compensatory education funds.
Education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
- Valid Texas Teacher Certificate appropriate for grade level and/or subject area required.
- Two years of certified teaching experience required.
- Experience working with diverse student populations is preferred.
- Bilingual fluency is beneficial in some settings.
- Effective communication skills (written and oral) across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships internally and externally.
- Technological proficiency including keyboarding and use of video display terminals.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment.
- Regularly required to talk, hear, walk, sit, and use hands for fine manipulation.
- Occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs.
- Must maintain emotional control under stress and work irregular hours as needed.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 35 pounds occasionally.
- Vision requirements include close and distance vision.
- The work environment includes standard office and classroom settings with moderate noise levels.
