You'll serve an engaging caseload of 60-65 students from Pre-K through 5th grade, including general education, special education resource, and life skills self-contained classrooms. With a commitment of approximately 37.5 hours each week (Monday through Friday), you will provide essential SLP services, helping students reach communication milestones and build confidence.
Qualifications and Desired
Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for speech-language pathology in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY considered
- Prior experience in school settings, especially with PK-5th grades, is a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Comfortable managing a diverse caseload, including students in gen ed, resource, and life skills programs
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Deliver therapy sessions individually and in small groups
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and support staff
- Document progress and communicate effectively with families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professionally to multidisciplinary teams
