  • Responsible for supporting Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulatory requirements to conduct ongoing analysis and reporting of flight attendant Advanced Qualification Program (AQP) training data to internal and external stakeholders

What you'll do

  • Maintains AQP flight attendant proficiency data within enterprise business intelligence applications and platforms

  • Analyzes AQP performance/proficiency data to support development of training objectives, monthly reports, and development of AQP Extended Review Team Report

  • Produces regular analysis and reports on instructor submitted AQP data to support instructor/evaluator standardization

  • Develops and delivers presentations regarding data trends for Inflight Service Training management and regulatory agencies

  • Produces ad-hoc studies in support of requests from stakeholders

  • Develops and conducts all aspects of AQP Instructor/Evaluator training (Initial, Remediation, and Recalibration)

  • Collaborates with Developers and Instructor/Evaluators to ensure training programs meet and/or exceed the requirements of the AQP

  • Coordinates with internal departments (e.g. Inflight Training, Inflight Service Operations, Training Administration, Training Operations, Safety, etc.) and external agencies (e.g. FAA, DOD, TSA, IATA, etc.) to ensure the quality, efficiency, relevancy and regulatory compliance of American Airlines’ AQP documentation

  • Develop and maintain Inflight Service Training manuals, documents, and forms, including but not limited to the Advanced Qualification Program Volumes, Inflight Service Training Administration Manual, Instructor Manual, Remediation guide and various data collection forms, including learner surveys.

  • Audit training programs, material, and facilitation for compliance with FAA, DOD, TSA, IATA and other regulatory agency requirements

  • Respond to incidents/accidents in accordance with the Emergency Response Manual

  • This role will be required to supervise and lead the work of their team; motivate and evaluate team performance.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience/training

  • Experience with document publishing, including document creation, distribution, and management

Preferred Qualifications
- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • 2 years of technical aviation experience in FAR Part 121 flight attendant training operations

  • Experience with AQP standards and program development

  • Working knowledge of FAA, OSHA, and other governmental regulations pertaining to training preferred

  • Proficiency with Adobe Frame Maker

  • Must possess flight attendant qualification, or be able to obtain qualification

Skills, Licenses & Certifications
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize, organize, and multi-task in a dynamic work environment

  • Expert level experience with Microsoft Office (emphasis on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher)

  • Flexibility with work schedule and excellent attendance record
