Early Learning Teacher Provides direction for the children in the classroom, and implements program curriculm. Provides a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on building achievement and belonging in our youth and relationships among youth and within families.

Essesntial Functions:

• Implements curriculm within established guidelines.
• Nutures children through purposeful programming dedicated to building achievement and belonging in youth and relationships among youth and families.
• Supervises the children, classroom, and all activities including accommodations where appropirate. Follows all procedures and standards.
• Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child.
• Culivates positive relationships, maintains effective communication with parents.
• Maintains classroom, equipemtn and supplies.
• Attends and participates in program activities, staff meetings & staff training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Values - Accepts and demonstrates the Y's
• Inclusion - Works effectively with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions, and perceptions.
• Relationships - Builds rapport and relates well to others.
• Communication - Listens for understanding and meaning;speaks and writes effectively.

• Quality Results - Strives to meet or exceed goals and deliver high-value experience for families.
• Project Management - Eastablishes goals, clarifies tasks, plans work, and actively participates in meetings.

Qualifications:

• Meets licensing educational and experience qualifications for Early Learning Teacher.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Certifications:
  
  Pedatric CPR & 1st Aid & Health Card
• Child Abuse Prevention Training
• Previous experience working with children
• Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropirate activities.
• Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
