Position DetailsFull‑time Visiting Lecturer position in Counseling and Human Services at Texas Christian University. This is a one‑year, non‑renewable, on‑campus, in‑person teaching role beginning in August 2026. The teaching load is no more than 4 courses per semester in areas such as orientation, counseling diverse populations, counseling interventions, and internship. Candidates must demonstrate sustained professional engagement and commitment to student collaboration and graduate‑level instruction.
Responsibilities- Teach up to 4 courses per semester in designated counseling subjects.
- Develop and deliver curriculum that prepares future counselors.
- Supervise internships and support student learning.
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development.
- Provide online instruction as required.
- Doctoral degree in Counselor Education (preferably CACREP‑accredited).
- Professional counseling license and demonstrated counselor identity at hire.
- Clinical experience and teaching experience in counseling required; online teaching experience preferred.
- Evidenced sustained professional engagement in application materials.
The Department of Counseling, Social Change, and Inquiry (CSCI) houses the Counseling, Curriculum Studies, and Youth Advocacy and Educational Studies programs. These programs engage students who are looking to positively impact society by addressing mental health, investigating curriculum and society relationships, and working with youth in educational contexts.
