Note:
This is a grant‑funded position and is contingent on availability of funds.
Conduct orientation/assessment, appropriate leveled instruction; maintain documentation, reporting, student recruitment and retention activities; participate in staff and professional development.
Essential Functions- Develop and maintain an individualized prescriptive lesson plan based on formal assessment and student goals using instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs. Instruction must produce educational improvements for all assigned students as measured by student baseline/progress testing. Conduct all necessary activities to secure progress tests for all students after 60 hours of instruction, or prior to 60 hours with supervisory approval.
- Conduct all necessary activities to meet and surpass all Target Performance Measures and Indicators of Program Quality (IPQ’s) as defined by Workforce Commission.
- Submit all required documentation and reports in accordance with program guidelines: student‑related (attendance reports, assessment, counseling notes, etc.) and staff‑related (timesheets, professional development forms, end of year, etc.).
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of and adhere to Fort Worth ISD policies, procedures, and regulations; keep immediate supervisor well‑informed of activities, results, problems identified or potential problems; recommend corrective actions to immediate supervisor.
- Attend all required meetings, seminars, workshops, staff development trainings, etc.
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned may include working in supplemental assignments under special revenue funds or state compensatory education funds.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university;
Master’s degree preferred. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly with individuals from diverse social, economic, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with students, staff, and community.
Physical demands: occasionally 0‑33% of day, frequently 34‑66% of day, constantly 67‑100% of day. Requires talking or hearing, walking, sitting, using hands for fine manipulation, handling or feeling items, reaching with hands and arms using keyboard and video display terminal. Occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs. Must maintain emotional control under stress, work prolonged and/or irregular hours.
May require up to 50 pounds fatigue occasionally, 25 pounds frequently, 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Specific vision abilities required: close vision. Work environment: standard office setting with typical equipment. Noise level low to moderate.
