Position: Kindergarten Teacher, Alpha - $100,000/year USD

Compensation & Benefits

$100,000 annual W2 salary with weekly pay; comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits starting day one.

Location

On‑site position at an Alpha campus in Phoenix, AZ;
Oklahoma City, OK;
Tulsa, OK;
Nashville, TN;
Austin, TX;
Fort Worth, TX;
Houston, TX; or Park City (Salt Lake City), UT. Relocation assistance available.

Overview

You will motivate kindergarten to third‑grade students in an AI‑powered learning environment, focusing on life‑skills workshops and individualized coaching rather than traditional classroom instruction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate one‑hour life‑skills workshops for groups of 10–15 K‑3 students covering public speaking, concentration, feedback exchange, and other transferable competencies.
  • Conduct daily individual and small‑group coaching sessions to maintain student progress toward weekly app targets, leveraging Coachbot analytics, Alpha’s reward structures (school currency, leaderboards), and the personal connection you have with each child.
  • Deliver the Test2

    Pass (Alpha’s competency‑based evaluation) for each life skill and support students who fall short until they achieve mastery.
  • Engage kindergarteners at their developmental level through songs, narratives, physical activity, and humor, while holding second and third graders accountable to concrete, quantifiable expectations.
  • Serve as the caring adult children are excited to see at morning arrival and the adult who will not allow them to settle for less than their best.
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Deliver content from the front of the room; academic instruction resides in the applications, not in your direct teaching.
  • Develop curriculum independently;
    Alpha supplies the operational framework and you execute it.
  • Passively monitor students at workstations; motivational work here is dynamic, personalized, and continuous.
  • Adjust a weekly target downward so a child can achieve it; when a student falls behind, the solution involves supporting the student, not revising the goal.
  • Evaluate homework, conduct standardized test preparation, or handle parent outreach;
    Campus Leads manage family communication, and the other tasks are not part of this model.
Qualifications
  • Willing to work on‑site at an Alpha campus in one of the listed locations; relocation support provided.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any subject.
  • At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4 to 9 (early‑elementary teaching, coaching, tutoring, camp counseling, or youth program leadership).
  • A specific example you can describe of motivating a young child to a hard goal: the goal, what you did, and the outcome.
  • Able to attend a paid training program at our Austin, TX campus.
  • Willingness to let AI handle the instructional content while you focus on motivation and life‑skills coaching.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
Nice‑to‑have
  • Background in youth athletics coaching, children’s theater, camp leadership, Montessori/progressive early education, or after‑school programs where you held direct responsibility for motivating young children toward defined objectives.
  • Personal record of high achievement (academic, athletic, or professional), such that holding others to demanding standards reflects a consistent pattern, not an adopted stance.
  • Natural performer’s energy with young children – the capacity to command a room of kindergarteners through vocal delivery, playfulness, and physical engagement.
  • Demonstrated success transforming hesitant or reluctant young children into engaged, confident contributors.
