Position Purpose
The Executive Director of Student and Family Experience provides strategic leadership for district wide initiatives that strengthen student success through family engagement, community partnerships, health services, adult education, after-school programming, and family support services. Leads the development and implementation of comprehensive systems that improve access to resources, remove barriers to learning, and support the academic, social, emotional, and physical well-being of all students.
Directs Family Resource Centers, Family Action Centers, Adult Education, After School Programs, Health Services, and related departments to ensure high-quality, equitable services aligned with District priorities. Establishes and sustains partnerships with community organizations, higher education institutions, healthcare providers, businesses, and nonprofit agencies to expand opportunities and wraparound supports for students and families. Collaborates with district and campus leaders to ensure services are coordinated, data-driven, and responsive to campus Comprehensive Needs Assessments.
Leads professional learning, continuous improvement, and resource alignment to strengthen organizational capacity and ensure consistent implementation of district initiatives. Monitors program effectiveness, compliance, and performance outcomes while fostering innovation and accountability across all areas of responsibility. Advances the District's vision by building collaborative relationships that empower families, strengthen communities, and improve student outcomes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Campus-Based Support
* Provides strategic leadership and support to campuses in implementing comprehensive family engagement, student support, and community partnership initiatives that improve student outcomes.
* Collaborates with district and campus leaders to analyze data, identify campus strengths and needs, and develop targeted action plans that strengthen family engagement and remove barriers to student success.
* Builds leadership capacity through professional learning, coaching, and technical assistance that equips campus teams to implement evidence-based family engagement and student support practices.
* Establishes measurable performance goals, monitors implementation, and uses data to drive continuous improvement, ensuring equitable family voice, participation, and access to services across the district.
* Oversees the implementation and continuous improvement of the Fort Worth After School Program, ensuring high-quality programming aligned with district priorities and student needs.
* Provides executive oversight of Adult Education programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements while expanding opportunities for adult learners through strategic partnerships and workforce development initiatives.
* Leads the development of community partnerships that enhance educational opportunities, student enrichment, and family services through collaboration with local organizations, higher education institutions, businesses, and community agencies.
* Monitors emerging educational trends, research, and best practices to drive innovation, ensure program effectiveness, and advance the District's strategic priorities for student and family success.
Parent Engagement
* Leads district wide family engagement strategies that strengthen partnerships among schools, families, community organizations, and stakeholders to improve student success.
* Supports campuses in developing sustainable family engagement systems that foster meaningful collaboration, shared responsibility, and increased family participation in student learning.
* Builds and sustains strong relationships with internal and external partners to expand resources, coordinate services, and advance District priorities.
* Collaborates with district departments to align family engagement initiatives, community partnerships, and campus supports that remove barriers to student achievement.
* Provides leadership, coaching, and professional learning that strengthens campus capacity to implement evidence-based family engagement practices.
* Develops, implements, and continuously improves district wide family and community engagement programs, events, and outreach efforts that promote equitable access, meaningful participation, and positive outcomes for students and families
