This position will be working with students who may have moderate to severe delays. Help special education teacher provide for physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities in a special education setting. Assist in implementation of classroom programs, including self‑help, behavior management, and instruction programs. Work under general supervision of a principal and immediate direction of a certified teacher.
Qualifications Education/Certification- Associate’s degree or at least 48 hours of college coursework completed (an unofficial college transcript will be required prior to hiring)
- Valid Texas educational aide certificate
- Ability to work with children with disabilities
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of general office equipment
- Bilingual preferred
- Some experience working with children
Starting salary range: $24,041 - $29,112
Work Calendar: 187 days
Salary determination will be based on verified relevant work experience. Salary will be adjusted to start date to reflect remaining workdays for 2025-26.
