This position will be working with students who may have moderate to severe delays. The instructional aide will assist the special education teacher in providing for the physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities in a special education setting. Responsibilities include implementing classroom programs such as self‑help, behavior management, and instruction programs under the general supervision of the principal and direct instruction from a certified teacher.

• Associate's degree or at least 48 hours of college coursework completed (an unofficial college transcript will be required prior to hiring)

• Ability to work with children with disabilities
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Knowledge of general office equipment

• Some experience working with children

Minimum salary $24,041 per 187 days (based on the  Compensation Plan). Salary determination will be based on verified relevant work experience and adjusted to the start date.
