Deliver rigorous instruction to students to promote intellectual, social, and physical growth and ensure that every child is prepared for accelerated learning to compete in a global economy, regardless of socioeconomic factors.

• Teach the District curriculum utilizing well-designed lesson plans and rigorous instruction aligned with standards-based objectives, accelerating the transfer of learning and knowledge.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional materials and strategies to provide differentiated instruction and address individual needs.
• Develop instructional units and opportunities for enrichments, differentiations, and project-based learning to foster collaboration, creative thinking, and extended interaction among students.
• Assess and document student mastery and progress using multiple assessment tools, including standardized tests, formative assessments, performance tasks, enrichments, and observations.
• Perform essential functions related to standardized testing, including monitoring, proctoring, data handling, and maintaining records of test data.
• Maintain accurate attendance records, grade reports, student files, and documentation of assessment preparation and related documents.
• Apply student-centered discipline techniques and effective classroom management to maximize learning and on-task time.
• Supervise student behavior outside the classroom at designated times and locations.
• Engage parents in the academic and behavioral progress of their child through conferences and ongoing communication to support student learning and school programs.
• Contribute to curriculum development, collaborate with peers, participate in professional development, and demonstrate ongoing professional growth.
• Attend and participate in school events during and outside regular hours.
• Perform all duties as assigned in accordance with board rules and regulations, with professionalism and ethics; comply with lawful directives as needed.
• Other duties as assigned, including supplemental assignments under special funds where applicable.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas Teacher certificate at the appropriate level for assignment OR acceptance into an approved Alternative Certificate Program (ACP) with required prerequisites passed.
• Experience working with diverse student populations preferred.
• Experience working with gifted learners preferred.
• Bilingual fluency is beneficial in some settings.

Occasional to frequent physical demands including talking, hearing, walking, sitting, and using hands; ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 35 pounds occasionally; standard office environment with typical noise levels.
