Deliver District curriculum to students in the absence of the teacher to maintain instructional continuity. This is a full-time position and eligible for all benefits of full-time employment, including earned leave.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Report to assigned school 10 minutes prior to the start of the school day.
- Take student attendance.
- Assist with dismissal procedures.
- Utilize provided lesson plans, deliver instruction, monitor, and assist student learning.
- Implement provided classroom management plan, including using discipline techniques aligned with written campus discipline procedures and District policy.
- Monitor students' behavior outside the classroom at designated times, between classes, and at assigned duty stations as directed.
- Leave teacher a written classroom report including pertinent details regarding completion of lesson plans.
- Monitor all students and follow any individualized student plans provided by the campus.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned, such as working in supplemental assignments under special revenue funds or state compensatory education funds.
- Report to the office during the designated planning time to receive other duty assignments.
- Ability to travel to all schools within the District and have immediate access to transportation. Notification of the day's assignment will be sent the morning of the assignment.
- Performs preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensures equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing; operates tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
- Corrects unsafe conditions in work area and promptly reports any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.

- Posture:Prolonged sitting and standing; occasional stooping, squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
