Position OverviewWe are seeking passionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers to join school districts throughout the Fort Worth, Texas area for the current and upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities while fostering an inclusive, engaging, and positive learning environment. Opportunities are available across elementary, middle, and high school settings in resource, inclusion, life skills, self-contained, and behavioural support classrooms.
Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal and Texas state regulations.
- Deliver differentiated instruction that addresses each student's academic, behavioral, social, and functional needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to ensure student success.
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and communicate student progress with families.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with IDEA and district policies.
- Implement classroom management strategies and positive behavior interventions.
- Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments to meet individual student needs.
- Utilize assistive technology and evidence-based instructional practices when appropriate.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student independence and growth.
- Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and other school-related activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with appropriate Special Education certification or eligibility through an approved Alternative Certification Program.
- Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education laws and regulations.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Previous school-based Special Education teaching experience.
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, or other exceptionalities.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.
