Early Learning Teacher

Provides direction for the children in the classroom, and implements program curriculum. Provides a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on building achievement and belonging in our youth and relationships among youth and within families.

Essential Functions:

• Implements curriculum within established guidelines.
• Nurtures children through purposeful programming dedicated to building achievement and belonging in youth and relationships among youth and families.
• Supervises the children, classroom, and all activities including accommodations where appropriate. Follows all procedures and standards.
• Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child.
• Cultivates positive relationships, maintains effective communication with parents.
• Maintains classroom, equipment and supplies.
• Attends and participates in program activities, staff meetings & staff training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Meets licensing educational and experience qualifications for Early Learning Teacher.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Certifications:
  
  Pediatric CPR & 1st Aid & Health Card
• Child Abuse Prevention Training
• Previous experience working with children
• Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
