Position Overview

Full‑time, 9‑month tenure‑track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The Department of Social Work at Texas Christian University seeks scholars who will teach in the BSW and MSW programs, maintain a strong research agenda, and engage in university and community service.

Responsibilities
  • 2‑3 teaching load across the BSW and MSW programs.
  • Maintain an active research agenda.
  • Engage in university and professional service.
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary, interprofessional, and community‑engaged teaching, scholarship, research, and service.
Required Qualifications
  • PhD in Social Work or a closely related field conferred by the start of the appointment.
  • Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited program.
  • Evidence of a history, or potential, to achieve excellence in scholarly research (e.g. peer‑reviewed publications, dissertation, monographs, book chapters) and teaching (e.g. student teaching evaluations, peer evaluations of teaching, faculty mentor evaluations of teaching).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years post‑MSW practice experience.
  • Ability to apply for and secure external research funding.
  • Ability to teach in both the BSW and MSW programs, in‑person and online.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining successful community partnerships.
