Department Summary

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of North Texas System College of Pharmacy (UNT-SCP) will contribute to the development of the educational, research, and service programs of the Department. The faculty will report to the Chair of the Department. The faculty of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences will provide expertise toward the basic sciences side of the pharmaceutical sciences such as pharmaceutical discovery, formulation, and delivery.
The Pharmaceutical Sciences Department at the UNT System College of Pharmacy is located at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) in Fort Worth. Ranked among the top 50 medical schools for seven consecutive years, UNTHSC is a 33-acre graduate school located in the city’s Cultural District with a local economic impact of $500 million annually. The UNT System College of Pharmacy is the first pharmacy school in Texas located on an academic health science center campus.

Position Overview

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the System College of Pharmacy (SCP) of UNT Health Fort Worth is seeking to hire an Adjunct Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences with a background in Immunology and Industry Practice. The successful applicant will report to the Chair of the Department and will contribute to the development of the educational program of the College of Pharmacy.

The successful applicant will provide expertise in teaching the foundational science aspects of the Doctor of Pharmacy and graduate (certificate, Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy) curriculum in Immunology or Industry Practice.

Minimum Qualifications
  • A PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related discipline.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences, Immunology, and/or Industry Practice.
  • Knowledge of PharmD and graduate-level pharmacy education.
  • Knowledge of instructional methods and curriculum delivery.
  • Effective teaching and presentation skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to teach PharmD and graduate pharmaceutical sciences courses.
  • Ability to contribute to curriculum implementation and student learning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and maintain a professional, collaborative, learning environment.
