the highland local school district has an opening for a special education preschool aide. This position will be for 6.5 hours per day, 4 days per week.

high school diploma or g.e.d. Is required. Strong work ethic, flexibility, positive interactive abilities with students and adults and a total understanding and acceptance of the rules of confidentiality.

responsibilities primarily include providing assistance and support to students in the preschool classroom at granger elementary school. Additional responsibilities include supervising students during arrival, dismissal, recess, and while riding the bus to ensure student safety and appropriate behavior. Working with individuals and/or small groups of students under teacher direction.

experience working with students with special education needs preferred.

the person selected to fill this position will be placed at the appropriate step of the salary schedule contained in the negotiated agreement between the highland support staff and the highland board of education.
