• Valid Special Education Teacher certification for Texas
• Substantial experience working with students exhibiting severe behavioral needs
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training strongly preferred
• Ability to employ evidence-based behavioral management techniques
• Strong collaborative skills to work alongside other educators and support staff
• Passion for creating an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere
• Adaptability and effective communication with students, families, and colleagues

• Design and implement individualized instruction and behavioral plans for students with significant behavioral differences
• Work closely with a small group (grades 1–3), emphasizing positive reinforcement and appropriate coping strategies
• Monitor student progress, documenting behavioral and academic data to adjust interventions as needed
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and administration to ensure student success
• Facilitate social and emotional learning activities that build self-advocacy and interpersonal skills
• Participate in team meetings, providing insight on student needs and best practices
