Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide private and group lessons in our retail store. In this role, you'll instruct students of varying ages and skill levels on band, orchestra, or contemporary instruments, build engaging lesson plans, and track student progress. You'll collaborate with store staff to support recitals, student recruitment, and instrument rentals, and communicate regularly with parents and school partners.

The ideal candidate has strong performance or teaching experience, solid music theory knowledge, and a commitment to student success in a friendly, community-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and small-group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop and follow individualized lesson plans aligned with student goals
• Teach music fundamentals, technique, and music theory for assigned instruments
• Prepare students for recitals, performances, and school-related events
• Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to students and parents
• Collaborate with store staff on lesson scheduling and student enrollment
• Support in-store events that promote music education and community engagement
• Advise students and parents on instrument rentals, purchases, and accessories
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment in the studio
• Stay current with best practices in music education and pedagogy
