More than 60% of TCOM’s graduates practice primary care medicine, helping reduce the shortage of physicians in our Texas communities. The Department of Medical Education & Health Systems at TCOM is seeking to hire an Academic Program Manager who will provide support for the academic administration, coordination, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement of TCOM’s four-year Professional Identity and Health Systems Practice (PIHSP) curriculum.
This Academic Program Manager is responsible for the academic administration, coordination, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement of TCOM’s four-year Professional Identity and Health Systems Practice (PIHSP) curriculum. PIHSP is a longitudinal curriculum integrating professional identity formation with Health Systems Science and related competencies across Years 1–4 of medical school. The Academic Program Manager serves as a central operational resource for the Director of PIHSP Course, Director of Health Systems Science, Innovation and Leadership, Chair of Medical Education and Health Systems Science, PISHP course and section directors, PIHSP senior academic program manager, faculty, staff, students, and curriculum leadership.
