Job Summary:
The Associate Director for New Student & Family Programs (NSFP) is responsible for collaborating with campus partners to coordinate and implement Orientation for incoming undergraduate students and their families. They supervise a coordinator, providing insight and guidance to multiple first-year initiatives. The Associate Director partners extensively across campus and serves as primary point of contact in absence of the Director of New Student & Family Programs.

Essential Job Functions:
Education & Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Student Personnel Services, Leadership Development, or a related field of study.
- 3 years of program management experience in a higher education environment such as: orientation, first-year programs, student development or experiential education.
Education & Experience:
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management Software, Slate
Licensure/Certification /Specialized Training:
- None
- None
- Knowledge of student development theories and trends.
- Knowledge of online learning platform, Advantage Design Group.
- Skill in instruction, facilitation and training techniques.
- Skill in effective written and verbal communication of complex information that is accurate, timely and based on sound judgment.
- Skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to apply student development theory to planning, marketing, and implementing events and programs.
- Ability to demonstrate multicultural competency.
- Ability to advise, mentor, and supervise new professionals.
- Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to create high-quality customer service experiences.
