Campus Instructor; Fort Worth

Beacon Hill is a non-profit organization that provides critical supplemental math and reading instruction and enrichment to students Pre‑K through 6th grade throughout Tarrant County/Ft. Worth area. Programs include in‑school, after‑school, and summer programming. We ensure students Catch Up, Keep Up and Stay Ahead by developing data‑informed intervention plans and supporting teachers and parents throughout the school year. Our desired outcomes are to help each student achieve grade‑level proficiency in math and reading, develop confident learners, and level the playing field for all participating students

Classification:
Non-Exempt;
Part-Time, up to 30 hours per week. Full-Time options may be available depending on qualifications and availability.

Compensation: $18.00–$20.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

Hours of Operation: 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, Monday–Thursday, with occasional Friday assignments as scheduled or needed. Individual schedules will vary within operating hours.

Campus Manager; may also receive direction from Associate Program Manager(s) and Program Manager(s).

Campus Instructors support Beacon Hill educational programs by providing small‑group reading and math instruction, monitoring student progress, maintaining student records, and helping maintain a positive and structured learning environment. Campus Instructors work with Campus Managers and school personnel to support daily program operations.

Provide high‑quality, engaging small‑group tutoring, generally using a 3–4 students to 1 instructor model.

Implement the Gideon reading and math curriculum and enrichment activities with fidelity.

Assess and monitor individual student progress and assist with grouping and regrouping.

Assist with initial, BOY, MOY, EOY, and other required student assessments.

Maintain a positive, engaging, safe, and well‑managed learning environment.

Assist with student drop‑off and pickup as required by the assigned campus.

Maintain accurate and confidential student records, curriculum folders, attendance information, and required database entries.

Assist with learning lab setup, daily operations, and shutdown.

Support curriculum grading, individualized student learning paths, and student scheduling as assigned.

Communicate professionally with Campus Managers, Beacon Hill staff, school personnel, students, families, and volunteers.

Report student, campus, safety, performance, or operational concerns to the Campus Manager or appropriate Beacon Hill leadership in a timely manner.

Participate in staff meetings, training, professional development, orientations, open houses, student celebrations, and end‑of‑year activities as scheduled.

Assist with volunteer or staff training when requested.

Assist other Beacon Hill team members as needed and as time allows.

High school diploma or GED required.

Some college coursework preferred.

Experience in early childhood education, classroom instruction or assistance, tutoring, youth programs, or childcare preferred.

Ability to work effectively with students in small‑group instructional settings.

Strong communication, interpersonal, classroom management, and organizational skills.

Ability to follow curriculum, instructional procedures, school requirements, and Beacon Hill policies.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and complete accurate records and data entry.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and One Drive preferred.

Experience with Salesforce or a similar database preferred.

Ability to learn and effectively use the Gideon reading and math curriculum.

Reliable attendance and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work assignments may occur at Beacon Hill program locations throughout the DFW Metroplex.

Local travel may be required for training, professional development, meetings, program support, or pickup and drop‑off of curriculum, paperwork, and supplies.

Availability must align with assigned program needs between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM Monday through Thursday. Occasional Friday assignments may be required.

Duties are not static and may change based on program, campus, student, and organizational needs. Additional assignments may be added as needed.
