Boiler Technician - Commercial - Industrial

Salary - Depends on experience

My client is a well-regarded Mechanical Contracting company seeking a Boiler Technician to join their growing team.

Inspect and repair boiler fittings, such as safety valves, regulators, automatic-control mechanisms, water columns, and auxiliary machines.

Read dials of temperature, pressure, and ampere gauges and meters to detect malfunctions and ensure specified operation of equipment.

Test electrical systems to determine voltage, using a voltage meter.

Turn valves and adjust controls to set specified fuel feed, draft openings, water level, and steam pressure of the boiler.

Operate automatically fired boilers to generate steam that supplies heat or power for buildings or industrial processes:
Light gas- or oil-fed burners, using a torch.

Troubleshoot malfunctions in electrical circuits, as necessary. Inspect wiring, check connections and power sources, and log repair needs.

Install and maintain motors, wiring, and all electrical equipment including control work for lighting, motors, and instrumentation.
