In this role, you will develop and implement plans to execute mass properties control and management within cost and schedule requirements in accordance with corporate and company policies.
Derive program mass properties requirements and allocate them to all applicable design levels to assure program requirements are met. Iterate through aircraft mass properties (weight, center-of-gravity, and inertia) analyses and verification as detail designs mature through primary sizing, released engineering, and manufactured hardware. Customer support activities include operational weight and balance and global fleet sustainment. Detail analyses are tracked in a mass properties data management system for roll-up into air vehicle status and trend analyses.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of mechanical engineering and mass properties. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or similar STEM degree - Microsoft Office Skills - of particular importance:
Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Project.
- Experience with CATIA 3D modeling or equivalent - Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

- Knowledge of software programming languages (i.e. Matlab, SQL, VBA, Python, or C#)
- Experience with aircraft weight and balance measurement

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
