Network Engineer

Job Title: Network Engineer

Work Model: 6 month contract to hire

Work Model: Hybrid - Fort Worth

Notes: We are looking to backfill a Network Engineer on our team. The specific tools needed for this Network Engineer have become more flexible, but experience/tenure in enterprise environments (2+ years) will be key. This could include any enterprise tools such as Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Palo Alto, etc. Additionally, this person will need experience engineering enterprise LANs/WANs and firewalls. The tool suite can still be flexible here, too.

• Engineering/deploying new networking infrastructure
• Securing firewalls
• Designing large wireless infrastructure
• Participating in new infrastructure engineering initiatives that are business-critical for the company to scale
• Providing guidance by stepping in for escalated tickets and mentoring younger network team members
• Maintaining strong communication with network carriers or managers who are experiencing network issues
• Collaborating in a team that runs sprints and utilizes Jira for tracking (experience in Project Management or Agile environment is a plus)

• 2+ years of Enterprise Networking Experience (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of Wireless Infrastructure & Network Design
• Strong Firewall experience with Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, or Fortinet

• Fortinet, Forti Manager, Forti Analyzer, Forti Gate
• Ruckus Access Points
• Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCNP) or other Networking/Security Certs
