Summary
Provides Organizational- and Intermediate-level aircraft maintenance support on C-130 aircraft in accordance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP), applicable technical data, and federal contract requirements.
Senior-level airframe mechanic providing O- and I-level maintenance, structural repair, and technical leadership on C-130 aircraft.
Essential Functions
* Perform complex aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and modification
* Document maintenance actions in aircraft logs and approved maintenance systems
* Lead and provide technical guidance to lower-level mechanics
* Ensure compliance with Tool Control, FOD, safety, and quality programs
* Perform other duties as assigned
Duties
* Perform and inspect airframe, flight control, hydraulic, pneumatic, and landing gear systems
* Lead and provide technical guidance to lower-level mechanics
* Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and directives
* Complete aircraft logbook and maintenance system entries
Qualifications
* 6+years airframe/structural maintenance experience
* 4+ years C-130 or equivalent aircraft experience
* Structural repair and corrosion control experience
* Former CDI/CDQAR preferred
* Secret clearance required
Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing and walking for extended periods, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces. Requires sufficient manual dexterity and vision to use tools and inspect aircraft systems. Must be able to work in high-noise environments, wear required PPE, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Compensation
* $41.33/hour + $2.65 H&W
