Stubbs Engineering is looking for a Structural Engineer in Training who is ready to grow, learn, and contribute to meaningful building projects. In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers, gain hands‑on structural design experience, and build the technical foundation needed for a long‑term career in structural engineering.

What You’ll Do- Assist with structural calculations using established engineering principles and design standards
- Support the preparation and development of construction documents
- Help with structural analysis and design for building projects
- Coordinate design concepts with drafters, engineers, and internal project teams
- Participate in field investigations and occasional site visits under the guidance of senior engineers
- Conduct standard computations and analyses to support project development
- Learn how to review project documents, construction details, and code requirements
- Collaborate with team members to support successful project delivery
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- Passed, scheduled to take, or actively preparing for the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam
- Registered Engineer in Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern (EI), or ability to obtain certification
- Foundational understanding of structural and civil engineering principles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and solid organizational skills
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and grow within a team environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Internship, co‑op, or academic project experience related to structural engineering
- Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and basic engineering practices
- Exposure to construction documents, structural drawings, or BIM/Revit workflows
- Interest in pursuing Professional Engineer licensure
Experience with any of the following is a plus, and training will be provided:
- RISA
- ENERCALC

Physical Requirements
This position involves both office and occasional field/site work. Site visits may include walking uneven terrain, climbing ladders, and visiting active construction sites. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
