What You Will Be Doing

As the Subsystem Design & Installation Engineer you will be responsible for developing and implementing installation solutions for aircraft equipment and systems on the F‑35 program.

'Your responsibilities will include:'

* Design the installation of aircraft equipment for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and associated hardware; design aircraft tubes and harness assemblies for Fuel, Hydraulic, and Environmental Control Systems; design installation of aircraft fluid routing and associated bracketry.

* Conduct trade studies and evaluate alternatives, optimizing form, fit, and function of the equipment installations.

* Define, develop, and finalize equipment layouts and systems and harness interfaces.

* Create Build‑to‑Packages for detailed parts, assemblies, and installations.

* Coordinate with other technical disciplines for optimized integration at the aircraft level, including producibility, maintainability, tooling, interchangeability, materials & processes, and stress considerations.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering

* Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool

* Experience with aircraft equipment installation design and troubleshooting

Desired

Skills:

* Experience with aircraft fluid or electrical installation design and troubleshooting

* Experience with CATIA V5

* Experience with metallic design
