Candidate must have the ability to obtain Secret Clearance. Not needed to start.
The successful candidate will perform stress analysis on new and revised designs for the routing of wire harnesses, hydraulic tubing, and coolant lines within the F‑35 airframe. Responsibilities include static strength assessment of brackets, clamps, shelves, pressurized tubes, and welded tubes, and evaluating deflection for routed tubes to guarantee isolation of systems from surrounding structure and other systems.
Required Skills- 15+ years of experience in stress analysis of subsystems (structural attachment of routed harnesses and tubing)
- 2+ years of experience developing, running, and working with finite element models:
Hypermesh, Nastran, and Patran - Experience in a collaborative work environment and good interpersonal skills for conversing with teammates
- Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Excel spreadsheet mathematical calculations and macro coding highly desired
- Familiarity with Catia, 3DX, TMP Vision, Mathcad
Education and Experience
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Mechanics (specifically).
