Description
You will be the Aeronautical Engineer Senior Staff for the Landing Gear Systems team, responsible for delivering high‑performance landing‑gear solutions for F‑35, IFG, Advanced Design, and Arresting Gear programs.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Aeronautical Engineer Senior Staff you will be responsible for providing expert engineering support across design, manufacturing, sustainment, and affordability initiatives for critical landing‑gear systems.
Responsibilities- Design, analyze, and support manufacturing of landing‑gear components for F‑35, IFG, Advanced Design, and Arresting Gear systems.
- Coordinate technical integration with landing‑gear vendors and align efforts with the Program Office.
- Lead sustainment activities by evaluating field component issues, conducting root‑cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage Class I and II change processes to ensure design modifications meet safety and performance requirements.
- Drive affordability initiatives by identifying cost‑saving opportunities and supporting trade‑off studies.

LocationFort Worth, TX. The position is onsite full‑time at a Lockheed Martin facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with CATIA.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly motivated with ability to learn continuously and identify multiple avenues to achieve team goals.
- Works well individually and with team members across multiple organizations.
- Strong mechanical ability with desire to build root cause investigation skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to develop clear technical presentations for customers and suppliers.
Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active Interim Secret clearance to start. This position requires a government security clearance; a US citizen is mandatory.
Work Schedule4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Onsite full‑time. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules for flexibility.
