MEP Strategic Risk Mitigation
- Establish, implement, and enforce MEP‑specific de‑risking frameworks from schematic design through IFC issuance.
- Proactively identify, elevate, and mitigate systemic MEP risks, including:
Power availability and utility coordination;
Energy code compliance (IECC, ASHRAE, local amendments);
Equipment access, maintenance clearances, and serviceability;
Fire protection and life safety authority coordination. - Track, analyze, and report portfolio‑wide MEP constructability issues, commissioning outcomes, and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead resolution of MEP‑related regulatory, inspection, and AHJ challenges.
- Own, govern, and maintain the MEP design standards library, including:
Mechanical system typologies;
Electrical distribution strategies;
Plumbing and water conservation standards;
Fire protection and low‑voltage system requirements. - Ensure consistent translation of standards into consultant documents and BIM models.
