Stationary Engineer (Maintenance Department)

Location:

Dallas, Hospital

Schedule:

Tuesday to Saturday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

• Operate all Central Utility Plant systems and building utilities infrastructure in normal and emergency situations, often without direct guidance.
• Perform troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, and repairs with minimal supervision for HVAC systems, chiller systems, pneumatic and electric controls, building automation systems, air compressors, vacuum pumps, water pumps, package units, boilers, and water treatment systems and equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repairs to building structural systems as required.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance of documentation such as TJC & other AHJ maintenance compliance records, daily operating logs, water chemistry analysis & results, maintenance records, requisitions & invoicing.
• Assume duties of the Central Utility Plant Supervisor for short periods when needed.
• Manage vendors on site performing services related to assigned duties.
• Perform assigned duties in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and generally accepted engineering practices.

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in Utility Plant, Power Plant, or Propulsion Plant operations and maintenance.
• One or more of the following: trade or technical school diploma or certification in industrial maintenance or related field; stationary engineer certification; central utility plant operator certification; military‑equivalent training and experience; secondary education in industrial maintenance and operations (AAP or similar).
• Preferred experience with Trane Trace, SIEMANS, or Honeywell EBI.
• Preferred experience in emergency generator operation.
• Preferred experience in boiler plant operation.
