You will be the Associate Aeronautical Engineering Manager for the Sub‑system Integrity Team which is responsible for advancing structural integrity across our aircraft programs.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Associate Aeronautical Engineering Manager you will be responsible for leading the Sub‑system Integrity Team within the Structural Analysis Organization, balancing managerial responsibilities with hands‑on technical execution.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Mentor and develop early‑career engineers through performance assessments, career guidance, and recognition programs.
* Oversee administrative functions, including compensation actions, awards, and behavioral follow‑up.
* Plan and manage training activities that build technical and leadership capabilities.
* Identify growth opportunities and drive continuous improvement within the team.
* Execute technical analyses and contribute subject‑matter expertise to subsystem integrity initiatives.

Further Information About This Opportunity
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
* Team Lead Experience.
* Experience with mechanical and avionics subsystem qualification and service life management, including:
* Low-cycle fatigue, particularly thermal cycling and duty cycling of avionics boxes and circuit boards
* High-cycle fatigue of mechanical and electrical components
* Strength testing, i.e. proof, burst, shock, and acceleration testing
* Environmental testing
* Nominal knowledge and experience working with Earned Value.
* Experience working across multiple teams, organizations, and sites. Must have expertise in Microsoft office.
* Must be a US Citizen with active secret security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Security Clearance Statement:

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
