Description:

You will be the Airworthiness Engineer for the F-35 Airworthiness team which is responsible for ensuring the aircraft meets all regulatory and military airworthiness standards throughout design, test, and production.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Airworthiness Engineer you will be responsible for translating regulatory and military airworthiness requirements into actionable engineering plans, partnering with cross‑functional teams, and driving compliance artifacts that enable safe operation and timely product release.

* Develop and maintain certification and continued‑airworthiness documentation aligned with regulatory mandates.

* Coordinate with systems, structures, flight test, and quality teams to integrate compliance requirements into product development.

* Generate and review compliance artifacts, ensuring they support safe operation of the F‑35.

* Support design, test, and production activities to meet certification schedules.

* Identify and resolve airworthiness issues early to maintain program timelines.

Further Information About This Opportunity

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

This position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Software Engineering.

Skills:

* Airworthiness certification experience.

* Experience with MIL-HDBK-516 criteria.

* Experience multi-tasking in a dynamic work environment.

* Strong MS Excel & PowerPoint skills.

* Experience working with cross functional teams and frequent status reporting to management.

* Strong organization and coordination skills with high attention to detail.

* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
