Aeronautical Engineer Sr

Description

You will be the Aeronautical Engineer Sr Staff for the Aeronautics Engineering Team which is responsible for delivering breakthrough aircraft capabilities.

As the Aeronautical Engineer Sr Staff you will be responsible for advancing finite element analysis that underpins the design, development, and sustainment of our premier military aircraft programs.

• Develop and validate high‑fidelity finite element models for F‑35, P‑47, IFG, and ADP platforms.
• Conduct structural analyses, interpret results, and provide actionable recommendations to design teams.
• Partner with cross‑functional engineers to support design reviews and certification efforts.
• Mentor junior analysts and promote best practices in modeling and simulation.
• Identify opportunities to enhance analysis efficiency and accuracy.

• Basic:
  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Proficiency in using FEA pre/post processors Altair Hypermesh, MSC Patran, and TMP SLIM/Vision.
• Proficiency in using FEA solver MSC Nastran.
• Proficiency in using CATIA V5/V6 and 3DX Software.
• Previous experience with leading, supervising, and training technical team members in FEA techniques.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Experience with Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Programs preferred.
• Experience with Lockheed Martin F‑35 FEA tools, methods, and procedures preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in collaborative and team based environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with project budgets, schedules, and performance.
• Proficiency with Unix/Linux operating system environments.

Position requires a government security clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required for consideration. Clearance level:
Secret.
