Description
You will be a System Safety Engineer for the System Safety Engineering Team which is responsible for ensuring the safety and mission success of the F‑22 aircraft.
What You Will Be DoingAs the System Safety Engineer you will be responsible for leading safety analyses and supporting the System Safety Program Plan throughout the aircraft development lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and execute the System Safety Program Plan.
- Conduct Functional Hazard Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Preliminary Hazard Analysis, System Safety Analysis, and Software Hazard Analysis.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative risk assessments and trade studies to optimize design choices and recommend controls.
- Coordinate system safety activities with design teams, suppliers, internal management, and external customers.
- Provide technical guidance on hazard mitigation and collaborate with adjacent disciplines to support program objectives.

Further Information About This OpportunityMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
This position is in Fort Worth, TX.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering or related engineering degree.
- Experience in a related engineering role.
- Military or civilian flight experience
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-882, MIL-HDBK-516, ARP-4761, and/or ARP-4754
- Knowledge of FAA and military regulations and processes
- Previous experience writing technical reports on complex subject matter
- Experience with military or government programs
- Knowledge of statistical analysis methods
- Aircraft system safety engineering experience
- Training or experience related to system safety or airworthiness
- Model-based system engineering (MBSE) training or experience
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
