Overview
Aviation Site Civil Project Manager — Fort Worth, Texas. For the last six decades, Garver has been designing projects for more than 250 aviation clients. Garver’s Texas Aviation Team provides expertise and leadership to help clients meet current and future needs.
The Aviation Site Civil Project Manager will primarily be responsible for designing and managing airport land development projects. The Aviation Site Civil Project Engineer must be able to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, work with diverse clients, and produce complete design phase deliverables, including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, exhibits, technical reports, and narratives. Tasks associated with creating a set of construction documents include drafting, quantity computations, specifications, and cost estimates.
Research, coordination, project management, and staff management will also be expected. Design development software packages will be used, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil design packages.
- Site feasibility and conceptual planning
- Drive coordination and design for aviation clients
- Perform periodic onsite construction observation duties
- Construction administration
- Submit reviews for projects under construction
- Detail-oriented and a team player with solid self-initiative to meet deadlines
- Development of Plans, Specifications, Reports, Estimates, and other technical deliverables
- Bachelor s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- PE license
- 5+ years of related experience with site civil design, permitting, applicable software applications
- Deep working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Design experience that includes drainage, grading, and utilities
- Experience with due diligence, permitting, and jurisdictional coordination
- Experience with task management, concept design, and project management tasks
- Strong written and oral communication skills with both internal employees and external clients
- Some travel may be required (approximately 10%, with occasional overnight)
- Airport-related experience
- Managing budgets
- Developing project schedules
